Harwich tide gauge site

The tide gauge housing is located on the Harwich Haven Authority jetty.

Tide gauge location

The GRP cabinet houses the tide gauge equipment which consists of a POL data logger and a three-channel bubbler system. The pressure points are fixed to a pile beneath the cabinet.

The tide gauge is levelled to the tide gauge bench mark supported by Ordnance Survey auxiliary marks.
