Tide gauge networks – ODINAFRICA
Engineers at NOC Liverpool participated in the ODINAFRICA (Ocean Data & Information Network for Africa) project to set up an African tide gauge network.
ODINAFRICA is supported by the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission of UNESCO, and brings together more than forty marine related institutions from twenty-five countries in Africa. The network strives to address the challenges faced in ensuring that ocean and coastal data and information generated in national, regional and global programmes are readily available to a wide range of users in an easily understandable format.
